Take Your Freediving Further
Training sessions are aimed at certified freedivers who want to keep progressing. They're designed to support your individual journey — whether that means refining technique, building confidence, or reaching new depths.

During each session, we focus on what you need — from improving duck dives or equalization, to practicing rescue skills or working toward a new PB. You’ll train on a buoy in small groups (max 3 divers), guided by a dedicated instructor and safety.

The calm Ionian Sea around Lefkada offers the perfect setting to stay relaxed, focused, and fully immersed in your training.
Training requirements
To enroll in Basic Freediving Training at Freedive Lefkada, you must be at least 16 years old and hold a minimum of AIDA 1 certification or an equivalent from another recognized freediving agency.

You also need to have valid insurance that covers freediving activities for the duration of your stay. If you don’t have one, we can help you purchase suitable coverage — or add you to our insurance for the time of your training.

The dive site is just a 2-minute boat ride from the beach in front of Surf Hotel.
There are shower facilities and a bar on-site where you can enjoy drinks, coffee, or lunch after training.

Need gear? We’ve got you covered
Our center provides high-quality equipment for training, including Cressi Apnea wetsuits (3.5 mm and 5 mm), Leaderfins long fins, silicone weight belts, various freediving masks, and lanyards.
Rentals are only available to current and past students of Freedive Lefkada.

Training Timeline
08:00 – Welcome Meeting
Upon arrival at the center, you'll complete the necessary paperwork and meet your instructor.

08:15 – Changing & Preparation
We get ready at the Surf Hotel facilities, store personal belongings, and head out by boat to the dive site.
​
08:30 – 10:00 Open Water Session
Each session lasts up to 90 minutes. Once finished, we return to the center by boat.
​
10:30 – Coffee & Snack Time
After training, take a moment to relax — enjoy a coffee or light snack at the Surf Hotel bar.
