AIDA 3

ADVANCED FREEDIVER

From technique to mastery — take full control of your depth, performance, and safety.

From Confident to Advanced

The AIDA 3 course is designed for certified freedivers who want to refine their technique, dive deeper, and gain full confidence in open water. It’s ideal for those ready to advance their skills, improve safety procedures, and explore their true potential as a freediver.

What will you learn?

The AIDA 3 Advanced Freediver course builds on your previous training and introduces the advanced techniques and knowledge required to safely reach greater depths. You’ll develop a deeper understanding of freediving physiology and improve your overall performance, technique, and safety awareness.

You will learn:

  • Advanced freediving physiology and the mammalian dive response

  • Frenzel equalization technique for deeper dives

  • How to use buoyancy shifts to enter Freefall

  • Barotrauma prevention and lung adaptation at depth

  • Risk factors such as shallow water blackout and decompression sickness

  • Use of training tables and planning effective surface intervals

  • Refinement of static and dynamic apnea skills

  • Free immersion and constant weight dives to 24–30 meters

  • Buddy system procedures and deep-water rescue techniques

  • The Freediver’s Code of Conduct

By the end of the course, you'll aim to achieve: 2:45 minutes of static apnea, 55 meters of dynamic apnea, a constant weight dive between 24–30 meters in open water.

Prerequisite certifications: Prerequisite certifications: AIDA 2 certification or an equivalent certification from another recognized freediving.

All morning sessions take place at the Surf Hotel, where we have access to a classroom, pool, and shower facilities — everything you need to start your freediving day comfortably.

The hotel also has a bar where you can enjoy a coffee, snack, or light lunch after the morning session.

In the afternoon, we meet on the beach just behind the center, only a 5-minute walk away. This shallow dive spot offers calm conditions and excellent visibility — perfect for your first open water sessions.

All open water sessions for the AIDA 3 course take place at a deeper dive site, just a 2-minute boat ride from the beach in front of the Surf Hotel. This location offers the depth and conditions needed for advanced training.
