Beginner Freediver
This course offers an in depth look at the practical techniques and theory needed to start your freediving journey. Pool sessions are used to teach relaxation, breath work, finning and basic safety concepts. These skills are then combined with open water freediving skills such as equalisation, duck dives, vertical swimming, and use of buoyancy. By the end of the course we aim to get you holding your breath for 2 minutes and diving as deep as 20 meters.
The course theory includes: Introduction to freediving, the breathing cycle, basic physiology of freediving, equalization, safety in freediving, equipment and freediving disciplines.
Prerequisites:

Be 18 years of age or older (16 with parental consent)

Be able to swim at least 200m non-stop without fins or at least 300m non-stop with mask, fins and snorkel

Completed AIDA medical form

Completed liability release
